Big Corona was open for paddleboarders and surfers
The high tides flooded beaches...
There was serious erosion of the beaches
A boat washed up on Big Corona Beach...surfers were not bothered.
Beaches were ordered closed by Gov Nuisance...no one cared
The Jetty was closed...neither surfers nor fishermen cared.
The Old Glory Boat Parade, sponsored by Post 291 of the American Legion, celebrated America on July 4th.
The parade featured boats and flags of all sizes.
Perfect weather for a perfect celebration of the USA
Hundreds of boats supporting President Trump peacefully cruised the harbor
Crafts of all sizes showed their support.
We stopped in Sacramento on our way to Lake Almanor. This is Old Town...deserted except for cars.

Bumpass Hell is a collection of steaming 200-300 degree gurgling hot pools. A lone photographer captures the scene.
The steamy pools with eau de sulfer color the surrounding landscape
No geysers, just smelly steam.
Trails of hot water lead to and from the bubbling pools.
A terrific short trip to cruise a sparsely populated lake, hike a National Park, enjoy fine wine and company and hear and smell mountain pines.
Importantly, The Shadow was everywhere.
